Ranking in the top two trade shows of the global welding & cutting industry, Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair (BEW) has long been a familiar name to the manufacturing industry in the world.
May 2010 will witness its opening and success for the fifteenth time. In the last ten years the record of BEW in exhibitor numbers and exhibition space has been renewed time and time again. This year the record will be lifted to a new standard: The exhibitor number reaches 973 and exhibition space 92,400 square meters. The fact that BEW can still achieve an outstanding growth rate in spite of the overall economic difficulties caused by the global financial crisis well reflects what the whole industry agrees: In a down market the budget should be cut, but not such trade fairs of importance influence as BEW, since to be there is to be in the industry and in the market.
In its 23 years of history, BEW has grown into a comprehensive platform combining trade show, forums, seminars, and conferences as well as competitions The simultaneous annual welding forums include China Welding Industry Forum(CWIF) ---in 2010 concentrating on “Welding Automation” and International Forum on Welding Technology (IFWT)—in 2010 on the theme of “Information Technologies of Welding Industry”. At the over 10 technical seminars manufacturers and end users will make communications and discussions on up-to-date applications and practical solutions. The annual conferences and work meetings of the Electric Welding Machine Committee of CEEIA, China Welding Materials Industry Association and other industrial organizations will continue to release the latest industrial analyses and statistics during the show. The Beijing International Welding Competition 2010 will offer the best stage and classroom for young welders from different countries and regions.
