Abstract:
The 3D network silicon carbide ceramic preforms with compressive strength of 0.3 MPa were prepared by the organic foam impregnation method(PSD). The preform was treated with alumina slurry for secondary slurry(vacuum infiltration), and the compressive strength of the preform was increased to 0.78 MPa. The 3D network SiC/Fe matrix composites were prepared by normal pressure pouring of preforms before and after secondary slurry. The bonding interface and wear resistance of the composites were analyzed. The results show that, the interface of the composites is clear, tightly bonded and without intermediate products. The wear resistance of the composites is 2.1-3.2 times of that of the matrix materials, and the higher the compressive strength of the composites is, the better the wear resistance of the composites is.
