Abstract: The research status of U-rings for power link hardware was analyzed. The reasons for the cause of U-ring wear,corrosion and fatigue failure were discussed. Based on the above results, a failure prevention method suitable for U-rings of link hardware was proposed, which can provide references for the design of U-rings and support the safe and stable operation for the state grid.
