Abstract:
The joints of 1.0 mm thick SUS301L-ST and 1.5 mm thick EN1.4318+2G austenitic stainless steel used for railway vehicles was welded with resistance spot welding by Apras welding process and MF inverter spot welding process. After welding the appearance quality and section quality observation, shear tensile and axial tensile shear fatigue test and analysis of the spot welding joints were carried out according to relevant standards. The results show that compared with MF inverter spot welding joints, the appearance quality of Arplas welding joints improves significantly and Arplas welding can reach the mark free welding. The tensile shear performance and fatigue performance are in line with the requirements of railway vehicle products.
