SiC颗粒清洗介质对无压浸渗SiC/Al复合材料微观组织和力学性能的影响

    Effects of Cleaning Medium of SiC Particle on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of SiC/Al Composite Prepared by Pressureless Infiltration

    • 摘要: 选用国产磨料级SiC颗粒,平均粒径在60~80 μm范围内,采用无压力渗透法制备了SiC/Al复合材料。采用不同的清洗方法对硅碳颗粒上的细颗粒和有机物进行了连续清洗,考察了它们对SiC/Al复合材料微观组织和力学性能的影响。结果表明,经去离子水和丙酮清洗的碳化硅颗粒表面整洁,所得复合材料内部缺陷显著减少,力学性能分别提升至(347.48±29.87)和(348.39±4.40)MPa。其中,丙酮可有效清除颗粒表面吸附颗粒和有机物,整体保证颗粒与熔融铝液的润湿性,复合材料内部缺陷最少,材料力学性能稳定性最好。

       

      Abstract: SiC/Al composites were prepared by pressureless infiltration using domestic abrasive grade SiC particles with average diameters in the range of 60-80 μm. The fine particles and organics absorbed on the SiC particles were cleaned successively by different cleaning methods to investigate theirs effects on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the SiC/Al composite. The results show that the surface of SiC particles can be cleaned by deionized water and acetone. The defects in the corresponding SiC/Al composite are reduced effectively, with the mechanical properties being (347.48±29.87)MPa and(348.39±4.40)MPa, respectively.Acetone can effectively remove the adsorbed particles and organics on the surface of SiC particles, resulting in the whole enhanced wettability of particles and molten aluminum solution, the internal defects of the composite are the least, and the mechanical properties of the material are the best.
