Abstract:
Traditional milling, welding, casting and other manufacturing methods are difficult to achieve high performance and high efficiency manufacturing of ring parts with end face ribs. A new local rolling forming method for manufacturing rings with end face ribs was proposed. The feeding path of the core roller is accurately planned, and the circumferential flow of the blank metal is limited by the constraint die, which makes the metal flow only axially to form the high rib structure of the ring end face. By using Abaqus finite element simulation software, the finite element model of local rolling forming of ring with end face ribs was established, and its forming process was analyzed. The evolution law of equivalent strain, equivalent stress, high ribs’ filling and forming load in forming process were explored.
