Abstract: The chemical composition, mechanical properties, metallography, fracture morphology and fracture composition of cracked copper ingots during processing were analyzed. The results indicate that the cracking failure of copper ingot is caused by the segregation and oxidation of phosphorus in grain boundary under long time high temperature heating.
