Abstract:
Aiming at the scientific problem that the mechanism of stray current and sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) on the corrosion behavior of apron pipe network is not clear, the influence of different voltage interference and SRB coupling on the corrosion behavior of X52 pipeline steel were studied. Methods such as electrochemical experiments, weightlessness experiments, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and X-ray energy spectrum analysis(EDS)were applied.The results show that when the DC interference voltage exceeds 5V, it will have a greater impact on the growth and reproduction of SRB, and the "stable period" of SRB decreases with the increase of voltage. On the other hand, the corrosion rate of X52 steel in soil containing SRB increases with the increase of DC interference voltage, In addition, the changes in the magnitude of DC interference voltage cause the changes in the corrosion morphology and types of corrosion products of X52 steel.
