Abstract:
In order to improve the corrosion resistance of brass, a laser shock/cavitation composite strengthening process was used to act on the brass surface. Through the electrochemical corrosion experiment, combined with the corrosion morphology of the brass surface, the corrosion resistance of the brass surface after laser shock/cavitation composite strengthening was studied. The results show that compared with the original brass sample, the corrosion potential of laser-shocked brass is increased by 23.1%and the corrosion current reduces by 47.5%when the cavitation is 30 min.There are a fewer corrosion pits on the sample surface and almost no cracks. The brass samples strengthened by laser shock/cavitation composite have better corrosion resistance.
