Abstract:
Aging phenomenon of sodium silicate will reduce the bonding ability and efficiency, and the strength of sodium silicate bonded sand will decrease. In order to reduce the influence of the aging phenomenon on the properties of sodium silicate bonded sand, ultrasonic oscillation modification of sodium silicate was carried out. The effects of continuous ultrasonic treatment and discontinuous ultrasonic treatment of sodium silicate on the properties of sodium silicate bonded sand were studied.The results show that the optimal time ultrasonic, power for the ultrasonic treatment of sodium silicate is 30 min, 54W respectively, in which case the 24 h final strength of sodium silicate sand can be increased by 15.2%, the immediate strength is increased by 52.1%. The effect of discontinuous ultrasonic treatment is better than that of continuous ultrasonic treatment, and the three times of discontinuous ultrasonic treatment is the best.
