Abstract:
The homogenization annealing tests of as-cast Al-Fe-Zr-Si-B alloy for heat-resistant aluminum alloy wires were carried out at different temperatures and time. The effects of homogenization annealing on the microstructure and properties of Al-Fe-Zr-Si-B alloy were studied by OM, SEM, conductivity test and hardness test. The results show that the microstructure segregation of as-cast Al-Fe-Zr-Si-B alloy is serious and the network dendrite is obvious. In the alloy treated at 565 ℃×2 h, most lamellar AlFeSi phases melt, showing short bar shape, elongated strip shape and uniform structure. The conductivity and hardness of the alloy are 57.8%IACS and 37.1 HV, respectively. The best comprehensive properties matching of the alloy is obtained. The optimal homogenization annealing process of Al-Fe-Zr-Si-B alloy is 565 ℃×2 h.
