Abstract:
TB6 titanium alloy powder (106-250 μm) prepared by plasma rotating electrode method was used, and the effects of two different thermal isostatic pressing processes on the microstructure and properties of TB6 titanium alloy were studied.The results show that the TB6 samples prepared by simultaneous heating and pressure raising process have small grains and obvious grain boundaries, showing obvious equiaxed structure, and α phase segregation at grain boundaries;TB6 samples prepared by the process of first heating up and then boosting up have large grains, no obvious grain boundaries, and irregular grains. The tensile strength, yield strength, elongation after break and section shrinkage of the TB6 samples prepared by the simultaneous heating and boosting process are all smaller than those prepared byusing the first heating and then boosting process.
