Abstract:
In order to solve the problems that the existing control method of variable blank holder force(BHF) can not achieve the precise effect, a BHF control method based on magnetorheological elastomers was proposed. Combined with the previous work, the variable BHF control curve was obtained. Taking it as the control condition of the magnetorheological elastomer blank holder, a new blank holder device was designed. The magnetic field of the blank holder device was analyzed by using the finite element software. The magnetic field distribution and the magnetic field intensity of each part of the magnetorheological elastomer blank holder device were studied. The drawing effect of ordinary blank holder and magnetorheological elastomer blank holder was studied by using the deep drawing experiment of cylindrical part. The results show that the magnetorheological elastomer blank holder can not only effectively restrain the cracking and wrinkling phenomenon, but also improve the drawing limit of the workpiece.
