Abstract:
Ceramic coated Fe
3O
4 was prepared on T2 pure copper substrate by plasma spraying technology. The effects of different parameters including particle size, plasma atmosphere, carrier gas and spraying power on the phase structure, microstructure, hardness and bonding strength of the coating were investigated. The results show that the phase structure of coating is stabilized with particle size increasing, and the coating prepared in the atmosphere of Ar-N
2 plasma has higher density and relatively stable phase structure. The hardness of the particles prepared at large scale first increases and then decreases by spraying powers increasing, the bonding strength increases gradually when the carrier gas is N
2, while the bonding strength first increases and then decreases when the carrier gas is O
2.Under the same spraying conditions, the hardness of the coating is higher, when O
2 is carrier gas.When N
2 is carrier gas, the strength of bonding of the coating is higher. For Fe
3O
4 powders with particle size larger than 50 μm, the coating prepared with O
2 as carrier gas in the Ar-N
2 plasma has the best comprehensive performance. The density of the coating is adjustable under spraying process.
