Abstract:
N08367/Q345R clad plate combines the high strength of base metal and good corrosion resistance of cladding alloy, and is an economical alternative for super austenitic stainless steel N08367 purity. To develop normalized N08367/Q345R clad plate, its microstructure and properties were studied after normalizing at 870, 890, 910, 930 and 950℃,respectively. The results indicate finer grain size after heat treatment, however, the pearlite is becoming coarser above 930℃.The intergranular corrosion rate of the cladding alloy decreases as the normalizing temperature increases, but no spot corrosion occurs at the 5 temperature points. The properties including tensile test, impact energy, bend test and shear strength can fully meet the standards. In order to obtain the best comprehensive performance, it is recommended to set the normalizing temperature range of N08367/Q345R clad plate to 910-930℃.
