Abstract:
Wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) is a net formed metal component manufacturing process developed rapidly in recent years. The wire arc additive manufacturing based on TIG welding is widely used in aerospace, military and other manufacturing fields because of its stable deposition process, fast deposition rate, high material utilization rate and high flexibility. The influence of different process parameters including current, welding speed, protection gas type and wire feeding angle on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material was summarized. The influence of heat accumulation and weld path offset on the forming quality was introduced, and the corresponding solution was proposed. Finally, different pre-deposition treatment and auxiliary manufacturing processes were introduced to optimize component performance, and the future development trend and research direction were prospected.
