Abstract:
The Nd
2Fe
14B/α-Fe alloy ingots were prepared by vacuum arc melting furnace, and the as-cast structure was observed.It is found that the grain size at the bottom of the ingots (15 μm) is smaller than that at the top (50 μm) due to the cooling system at the bottom of the crucible.Subsequently, the were, prepared form thin strips of Nd
2Fe
14B/α-Fe nano-complex alloy alloy ingots by the melt fast quenching method, and the effect of different rapid quenching speed on the microstructure of the thin strips was investigated.The results show that the grain size of the thin strip decreases gradually with the increase of rapid quenching speed, and the minimum grain size of 255 nm is reached when the rapid quenching speed is 30 m/s.The thin strip of Nd
2(FeTiNb)
14B/α-Fe nano-complex alloy was prepared by the melt fast quenching method after the addition of Ti and Nb elements.As a result, the grain size of the thin strip is reduced to about 100 nm when the rapid quenching speed is 30 m/s.
