Abstract:
Titanium powder, molybdenum powder and manganese powder were used as raw materials. The ammonium bicarbonate particles were used as pore-forming agent, and biomedical porous Ti-Mo-Mn alloys were prepared by powder metallurgy process. The effects of Mn content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of porous Ti-Mo-Mn alloys were investigated. The results show that with the increase of Mn content from 0wt% to 10wt%, the porosity of porous Ti-Mo-Mn alloys gradually decreases, the macropore size decreases slightly, the proportion of β-Ti phase increases relatively, and the elastic modulus and compressive strength increases accordingly.Porous Ti-Mo-Mn alloys with 7.5wt%Mo and 5wt%-10wt% Mn have a three-dimensional interconnected porous structure and good mechanical properties, which have the potential to be used as cortical bone defect repair materials.
