Abstract: Various cracks often occur in the forging process of titanium alloys, which are seriously harmful. Combined with the cracking examples that occurred in the company’s titanium alloy production process for many years, the forging cracking phenomenon of various titanium alloy billets was classified and described, the harmfulness was briefly explained, the causes were analyzed in depth, and the cracking characteristics were systematically summarized. On this basis, specific measures to prevent and solve the forging cracking of titanium alloy billets are proposed, so as to ensure the minimum impact of the forging cracking on the production and quality of the titanium alloy.
