Abstract:
The hot isostatic pressing test was carried out on ZL101A aluminum alloy, and the process parameters were temperature 505 ℃, pressure 75 MPa and time 3.5 h. The densification and microstructure evolution of HIP ZL101A castings were analyzed. Tensile test, fracture morphology analysis, microstructure observation and Brinell hardness measurement were carried out on the samples. After hot isostatic pressing treatment, the most casting defects of ZL101A castings disappear, which plays an effective densification role. After hot isostatic pressing treatment, the tensile strength and Brinell hardness of ZL101A sample without obvious casting defects decrease. Compared with those of untreated samples, the tensile strength and Brinell hardness decrease by 6.6% and 6.7%. Thermal isostatic pressure increases the elongation by 7.4% compared to the untreated ones.
