Abstract:
316L stainless steel powders with different contents of Y
2O
3 were cladded on the surface of 316L stainless steel substrate by semiconductor laser. The microstructure and phase composition of the cladding layers were analyzed by OM, SEM and XRD, and the corrosion and wear resistance of the cladding layers were tested. The results show that the cladding layer is composed of γ- (Fe, Ni) solid solution and CrFe
7C
0.45 carbide. The equiaxed crystals, columnar crystals and planar crystals distribute in the cladding layer from the top to the bottom. The Y element is mainly concentrated at grain boundaries, and a small amount of Y element disperses in the grains. The addition of Y
2O
3 can obviously improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of 316L stainless steel cladding layers. However, the strengthening effects of Y
2O
3 content on the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the cladding layer decreases when the addition amount is larger.
