Abstract:
When quenching in double-chamber vacuum oil quenching furnace, the quenching hardness of the parts is not standard due to the long time transfer process, especially the quenching of thin wall small parts. To solve this problem, a quenching tooling was specially made for T9A steel strip. The results show that, using quenching tooling, the T9A strip reduces temperature loss during vacuum furnace quenching transfer. When immersed in the quenching oil, the steel strip can cool down quickly. The T9A strip is quenched with this tooling, as compared with direct quenching without tooling in a vacuum furnace, the quenching average hardness of T9A strip is improved, and the quenching hardness of T9A strip reaches the requirement of 850 HV.
