Abstract:
Hastelloy C276 coating was prepared on the surface of X90 steel substrate by laser cladding technology, and the effects of laser scanning speed on the microstructure and properties of the coating was studied. The microstructure, element distribution and phase composition of the cladding layer were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS)and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).The Vickers microhardness of the cladding layer was tested by microhardness tester, and the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the cladding layer were tested by friction-wear test machine and electrochemical workstation, respectively. The rusults show that when the scanning speed is 8 mm/s, 12 mm/s and 16 mm/s, with the increase of scanning speed, the structure of the cladding layer is obviously refined, the average Vickers microhardness value increases, the average friction coefficient value decreases, and the wear amount is 7.6 mg/h, 3.4 mg/h and 6.2 mg/h, respectively, and the cladding layer prepared when the scanning speed is 12 mm/s has the best wear resistance. The cladding layer prepared at the scanning speed of 8 mm/s has the most positive self-corrosion potential of-241.053 MV and the smallest corrosion current density of 0.170 μA·cm
-2.Compared with the cladding layer prepared at the scanning speed of 12 mm/s and 16 mm/s, it has the best electrochemical corrosion resistance. When the scanning speed is 8 mm/s and 12 mm/s, the Hastelloy C276 coating exhibits the best electrochemical corrosion resistance and wear resistance, respectively. Selecting a reasonable scanning speed can effectively improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the coating.
