Abstract:
Fe
60Nb
15Ti
15Ta
10 amorphous alloy powder was coated on the surface of 45 steel by laser cladding process with different laser power. The phase composition, microstructure, microhardness and corrosion resistance of the coatings were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Vickers hardness tester and electrochemical workstation. The results show that the coating has good metallurgical bonding with the substrate, without obvious defects such as cracks and holes. With the increase of laser power, the dilution ratio of the coating increases, and the microstructure of the coating changes from amorphous+equiaxed crystal to amorphous, reticular and granular crystal, finally to the complete cellular crystal. When the laser power is 1000 W, the average hardness of the coating is 873 HV, which is about 3.8 times than that of the base material. The corrosion resistance of the coating is also significantly better than that of the base material.
