Abstract:
In order to reduce the metal loss and pollution emission caused by pickling process in removing the oxide skin(descaling)on the surface of nickel alloy rolling disc elements.According to the characteristics of high pressure abrasive water jet descaling process, a complete experimental replacement pickling process device for rolling nickel alloy descaling process was established. The descaling process parameters such as wire winding speed, water pressure and abrasive concentration were set.The tensile strength, elongation and surface morphology of nickel alloy rod before and after descaling process were compared and analyzed. The experimental results show that the metal loss is less than 0.5% after the descaling process. The tensile strength of nickel alloy rod does not change obviously, and the strength is similar. The elongation is basically unchanged, which meets the standard requirements. Electron probe detection (EPMA) shows that the oxide skin is basically removed after different rod descaling. The established high pressure abrasive water jet descaling process device can achieve descaling effect, which proves that high pressure abrasive water jet descaling process is feasible and reliable.
