Abstract: Plasma nitriding is a heat treatment process to strengthen the surface properties of metals. This kinetics of plasma nitriding of nickel-based alloys, especially several plasma nitriding processes and the properties of nitriding layers were summarized. Finally, the research direction of plasma nitriding of nickel-based alloys was prospected.
