Abstract:
In view of the demand for new shielding materials of nuclear power plants, W-Ni alloy coating was prepared by high-energy plasma spraying technology.The micro-morphology, composition distribution, hardness, bonding strength and other properties were analyzed, and the shielding capabilities of W-Ni alloy coating and lead were compared through theoretical calculation and practical testing. The results show that the thickness of W-Ni alloy coating is about 875 μm, the whole is dense and uniform, and the porosity is only 5.1%. There is no oxidation and crack in the coating, the average hardness is 523 HV0.3, and the bonding strength is 47.3 MPa.The comparative analysis results of the shielding capacity show that the theoretical calculation and actual test results are similar, and under the same thickness, the shielding ability of W-Ni alloy coating to γ ray is better than that of lead, which has certain application prospects.
