Abstract: With the rapid development of the global manufacturing industry, as a key component of heavy machinery and precision equipment, the demand for high performance spring increases, and the performance requirements improve.Strengthening the strength of spring steel and prolonging its service life are the research focus of high strength spring steel in China and foreign countries. According to the current research status of spring steel, the heat treatment technology, surface modification and strengthening of spring steel are expounded, and the importance of first principles in the research of spring steel were analyzed.The research status of high strength spring steel in China and foreign countries and the development trend of spring steel were summarized, which provided theoretical support and technical reference for the development of high performance spring steel.
