Abstract:
Pure titanium TA1/304 stainless steel double-layer clad plate was combined by one pass non-vacuum direct hot rolling method under different rolling reduction of 30%-45%. The effects of the reduction on the interfacial bonding strength,deformation ratio of component plates and interface microstructure of the clad plate were investigated. The results show that the normal stress and interfacial shear stress of the composite plate increase significantly with the increase of the reduction ratio, the interfacial contact area and interfacial element diffusion increase and the grains of TA1 layer are refined significantly, and thus the interfacial bonding strength is enhanced significantly. When the reduction is 40%, the interfacial bonding strength of the clad plate increases significantly, the deformation ratio of 304 to TA1 reaches the highest value of 75%, and the deformation compatibility is best. When the reduction is 45%, the interfacial shear strength is highest, up to 237 MPa.
