Abstract:
The changes of the microstructure and mechanical properties of TC11 alloy bar after different final forging temperatures and primary annealing temperatures were studied. The results show that the content of primary α phase of TC11 alloy decreases with the increase of the final forging temperature and primary annealing temperature towards phase transformation temperature. The content of primary α phase decreases by 25% maximum when the final forging temperature increases by 20 ℃, the content of primary α phase decreases by 10% maximum with the increase of primary annealing temperature by 10 ℃.The strength of the alloy does not change greatly when the content of equiaxed α phase fluctuates in the range of 30%-60%, which indicates that the small range of final forging temperature and primary annealing temperature do not cause significant changes of properties of the alloy.
