Abstract: The research progress of the preparation methods, process parameters of nickel-based composite coatings by electrodeposition and nickel-based composite coatings with excellent properties in recent years was reviewed, and some new discoveries of the influence of auxiliary means and process parameters on the performance of nickel-based composite coatings were expounded. The preparation and characteristics of the advanced nickel-based composite coatings in the literatures were summarized, and finally, the future development direction of nickel-based composite coatings was prospected.
