Abstract:
The effects of La and Ce mixed rare earth on the microstructure, tensile properties, heat resistance and electrical conductivity of Al-Zr alloy wire were studied by optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, double-arm electric bridge conductometer and tensile testing machine. The results show that when trace La and Ce mined rare earth is added, the rare earth elements La and Ce can react with the impurity elements Fe and Si to form many kinds of rare earth compound particles, which are dispersed on the α-Al matrix and grain boundary to enhance the strength and heat resistance of Al-Zr alloy wire. With the increase of La and Ce rare earth content, the tensile strength and heat resistance of Al-Zr alloy wire are increased gradually, and the electrical conductivity of Al-Zr alloy wire increases firstly and then decreases.
