Abstract:
To address the problems that rim submerged arc welding parameters are mainly determined by experience, resulting in high trial-and-error costs and unstable welding quality, a parameter optimization method was proposed. Taking R2518026 rims as an example, a finite element model was established. Orthogonal experiments were designed using welding current, arc voltage and welding speed as factors, with equivalent stress and total deformation as evaluation indices. Range and variance analyses were conducted to evaluate factor effects. The results show that equivalent stress and total deformation are reduced by 20.55% and 20.00%, respectively. The proposed method provides a reference for parameters optimization in rim welding.
