Abstract:
TC11 pre-alloy powder was prepared by the Electrode induction melting gas atomization(EIGA) method, and
φ132 mm cylindrical TC11 alloy was prepared by powder metallurgy(PM) hot isostatic pressing, the alloy was divided into core, middle and rim regions for microstructure observation and mechanical property studied. The results show that, the β-transformed TC11 alloy with a large amount of needle-like secondary α-phase(α
s) precipitated in the β phase after heat treatment to form β transformation texture(β
T). The volume fraction of primary and secondary α-phases in the core, middle and rim regions are basically the same, and the grain orientation is uniform without preferential orientation, and the average grain size is 4.5-5.0 μm. The average microhardness of the various regions of the cylindrical TC11 alloy is close, the room temperature and 500 ℃ tensile strength deviation is less than 5% and good plasticity, the room temperature U-port impact work is 38.0-43.0 J, powder metallurgy prepared TC11 alloy has better performance consistency.
