Abstract: The new requirements put forward in the post-lightweight era were introduced, and the advantages of aluminum foam under high requirements were given. The characteristics, preparation technology, research and application status of aluminum foam were reviewed. The role and application of aluminum foam in automobile industry were described. Finally, the direction and prospect of the application of aluminum foam in the automobile industry were analyzed.
