Abstract
φ160 mm Cu-15Ni-8Sn ingot was prepared by vertical continuous casting. And the effect of pouring temperature on Sn segregation in the alloy ingots was studied. The results show that lower pouring temperature can effectively suppress macro-segregation of Sn.When the pouring temperature is 1235℃, the relative segregation is 3.7%.The decrease of pouring temperature can effectively improve the uniformity of dendrite segregation. With the pouring temperature reducing from 1400 to 1235℃, the volume fraction of segregation structure from surface to center decreases from 35.5% to 8.8%. In addition, the decrease of pouring temperature can effectively refine the secondary dendrite spacing and segregation structure of the ingot. With the decrease of casting temperature, the proportion of segregation area> 0.001 mm2 decreases gradually, and the proportion of segregation area of 0.0001-0.001 mm2 increases gradually.
