Influence of Low Temperature Annealing on Mechanical Properties of Bundle-drawing Stainless Steel Fiber

    • φ12 μm stainless steel fibers with different deformation were prepared by bundle-drawing method. The effects of annealing temperature and holding time on the breaking strength and elongation of cluster drawn stainless steel fibers were studied. The results show that for stainless steel fibers with 95% deformation, the breaking strength and elongation increase first and then decrease with the increase of annealing temperature and holding time. When the annealing temperature is 390 ℃and the holding time is 3 h, the effect of low temperature annealing on the mechanical properties of fibers is the most significant. For stainless steel fibers with deformation less than 93%, low temperature annealing has little effect on the mechanical properties of the fibers. When the deformation is more than 93%, the low temperature annealing has an effect on the two mechanical properties of the fiber, and the effect is more and more significant with the increase of deformation.
