Abstract
Taking TC4 titanium alloy as the matrix, the effect of adding graphene on the microstructure and mechanical properties of laser melting deposited titanium alloy was studied. The results indicate that the addition of graphene significantly refines the grain of the deposited samples. TiC interface reaction layer is formed between the graphene and Ti matrix in the laser melting deposited Ti-Gr composite material, which is beneficial to exert the effect of load transfer. The average microhardness, tensile strength and yield strength of Ti-Gr composites are 434 HV, 1249 MPa and 1225 MPa, respectively, which are significantly improved compared to that of titanium alloy deposited under the same conditions.
