Optimization for Low-Pressure Casting Parameters of A356 Aluminum Alloy Steering Valve Shell Based on Response Surface Method

    • In order to improve the comprehensive quality of low-pressure casting of A356 aluminum alloy steering valve shell, the Box-Behnken method was used to establish the response surface experimental design with pouring temperature, die preheating temperature and pouring time as the research factors, shrinkage porosity and secondary dendrite arm spacing as the response objectives. And the numerical simulation was carried out. The multi-objective optimization was performed using a genetic algorithm, and the experimental verification was carried out using optimized parameters. The results show that when the pouring temperature is 700 ℃, the die preheating temperature is 300 ℃and the pouring time is 9.5 s, the casting has no obvious shrinkage defects and good mechanical properties.
