Research Progress of High-Performance 8xxx Series Aluminum Alloy Material and Its Application in Field of Power Cable

Aiming to the application and development demand of "replacing copper with aluminum" in power cable industry,through the research and development of new aluminum alloy materials and the investigation and analysis of the technical and economic characteristics of aluminum core power cables as well as the application status and standardization over the entire world,the performance requirements and main preparation methods of the conductor materials and connecting fittings of aluminum core power cables were reviewed,and the main technical features in China and abroad were compared.The feasible technical route of high voltage aluminum core power cable development was proposed.
