Abstract
Titanium alloys are widely used in biomedical and aerospace fields due to their low density, high strength, good biocompatibility, unique shape memory effect and superelastic properties. With the rapid development of advanced science and technology in China, higher requirements have been put forward for the performance and preparation process of the alloys in different fields. At the same time, because of the wide variety of the alloys, there are multiple process options when preparing a specific alloy, but these options all require consideration of cost problems, process adaptability, and process development status. The research progress on the preparation process of titanium-based shape memory alloys was reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of the preparation process of the alloys were described from vacuum melting, additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy. The principle of each preparation process and the properties of the prepared alloys were introduced. Finally, the research hotspots and development directions of production process of titanium alloys were summarized and prospected.
